I can not wait until Riverdale Sr. High School’s Homecoming tomorrow!!! Homecoming is one of those special times in high school that you look forward to and hope to one day look back on. Well this year I was able to add one for the memory book. Not only is this the case for me, but for many of my peers who relocated [legally and legitimately] to Tri-Cities while Clayton County works through its current situation. So, although I am attending another school I can’t hold back the excitement and anxiousness to attend Riverdale’s Homecoming game. The though of going back to see old friends and teachers overwhelms me; it is going to be a blast. I hope they win, just like Tri-Cities did, so they too can enjoy the sweet taste of victory.

I guess I can consider myself lucky… Most students only have one school to cheer for while I have that Bulldog and Raider Pride. Gooooooooooooo Everyone!!!!

Mr. Rase and Mr. Campbell look over letters students have prepared for soldiers in Iraq as part of their collaborative initiative to support our soldiers abroad known as “Ties to Our Troops.” The following statement is  a press release provided by Mr. Rasé which gives us an indepth view of Ties to Our Troops.

Students of Tri-Cities High School participated in collecting oral histories from World War II veterans at the reunion of the 459th Bomb Squadron in Atlanta on September 27th.

Twenty-five students from Danny Campbell’s graphic arts class, Alan Norwood’s videography class, Tremetrice Wheeler, Department Chair of Social Studies, and Stephen Rasé’s U.S. History classes and the Beta Club came together at the Airport Marriott and participated in collaborative teams composed of artists, videographers and interviewers to gather details of veterans’ participation in World War II.

Originally, Senior Night was scheduled to be Friday, October 24th, however, due to inclimate weather the game was rescheduled to Friday, November 7th, despite this week’s Senior activities. Although the Senior class was TRICKED into believing Friday night’s game was devoted to them, they were TREATED with cake and ice cream in lunch on Friday by SGA the Senior Class Officers to make appeases.
